Submissions

IMG_3678Tell me a story in 1,000 words or less.

Email it to brilliantflashfiction@gmail.com.
If I like it, I’ll publish it in the next available edition of Brilliant Flash Fiction.

Please send original, unpublished work.

I accept all fiction genres. No graphic violence or porn, please.

Be sure to paste your story into the body of your email and also attach it as a .doc file.

Please do not submit more than two stories quarterly (during a 3-month period).

At present, no payment is available. Authors will enjoy sharing their work with an appreciative audience and the possibility of having their work published in a to-be-announced anthology.

As of March 2015, all submissions to Brilliant Flash Fiction will be accepted or rejected within three months of receipt.

Simultaneous submissions will be considered.

Authors whose submissions are accepted will retain all rights to their work after publication.

Please do not submit poetry, photo-illustrations or artwork of any kind.

  1. SUBMISSION POLICY UPDATE:

As of March 2015, all submissions to Brilliant Flash Fiction (BFF) will be accepted or rejected within three months of receipt.

    Simultaneous submissions are fine.

Authors whose submissions are accepted will retain all rights to their work after publication.

Please do not submit poetry, photo-illustrations or artwork of any kind.

On this, the first anniversary of BFF’s creation, we would like to sincerely thank all the writers who have shared their excellent work with us.

  2. Really sad the deadlines come and gone, will my little story cast adrift upon a sea of criticism (friendly and positive I’m sure) sink or swim. Cant wait for the next fortnight to face the next challenge. Ah well I never could do SF, although in my the last 3 months I finished 3 stories I could be proud of, if only a little bit.. That’s the benefit of a constantly changing theme and format even word count. Keep the challenges coming and we will evolve, I might learn how to write.
